Enduro specialist with big strokes!
Float 38 enduro fork, designed for modern and uncompromising super enduro riding.
Could a 2mm larger inner leg diameter really make that much of a difference? FOX says it does. But it's more than just 2mm, of course.
The new FOX high-travel enduro fork offers travel between 160-180mm and has one hidden innovation that other forks don't have. The inner shape of the fork steerer is oval, which increases stiffness without adding much weight. So far, only the FOX Float 38 fork has this technology.

The “Factory” name says it all. The best technologies FOX has to offer are available in the Factory Series models, including our ultra-durable original Kashima Coat, which ensures the fork runs buttery smooth.

TECHNOLOGIES:
GRIP 2 Damping:
For 2021 FOX took GRIP2 damping to the next level by adding patented VVC technology to the high-speed compression circuit. VVC is a patented variable valve control system that allows external fine-tuning of suspension performance. GRIP2 accomplishes what would normally require the time-consuming and complicated task of completely disassembling and reassembling the fork with the turn of a control dial. It allows for high- and low-speed compression adjustment and high- and low-speed rebound adjustment.
Float: The lightweight FLOAT air suspension system automatically balances positive and negative air chambers for increased responsiveness and traction regardless of air pressure setting. Riders can fine-tune the positive air spring characteristics with Volume Air inserts.
Bleeders: Forks have bleeder valves at the back of the lower legs, which allow you to equalize the pressure in the fork legs with atmospheric pressure. Different pressure in the fork reduces the sensitivity of the suspension, so you can equalize it by simply pressing the valve with your finger. The pressure in the legs changes especially at higher temperatures, such as during intensive use on long descents or at high altitudes.
Lower Leg Channels: New air-oil channels allow trapped air in the lower legs to pass through the slide bushings. The channels' second function is to allow oil from the lower legs to reach the upper seals, keeping them freshly lubricated.
Floating Axle: The new axle system prevents the parallelism of the fork legs from being affected by the different width of the front hub. Perfect alignment reduces friction during suspension, which is more efficient and smoother. The mechanism on the right fork leg can be adjusted exactly to your hub width and eliminates leg compression when retracting the axle.
Lower Leg Arch: The bridge between the lower legs has a new rounded shape, This increased the stiffness of the fork and at the same time created more space between the bridge and the bicycle frame when the fork was fully compressed.
Oval steerer: The internal shape of the fork stem is oval, increasing stiffness with only a minimal increase in overall weight.
