Trickstuff uses a hydraulic oil that is not only made in Germany but is also made from plant oil instead of fossil oil. It is harmless to humans and nature and has unique properties.

Compatibility

We have mixed Bionol with mineral oils from other manufacturers and used it in our Piccola, Direttissima, and MAXIMA. The oils mix without any problem and can be used when mixed. So if you have to bleed your Trickstuff brake and don't have your Bionol with you, just use another brand's mineral oil.
Legal reasons prevent us from recommending Bionol for use in other mineral oil brakes. We tried it in Shimano and Magura brakes and never had any problems.

Bionol is NOT compatible with DOT brakes like our CLEG or any Sram brake.
